The two have already had a confrontation

Samoa Joe is the United States Champion and has moved to WWE RAW following the Superstar Shake-up. Even before he moved to the red brand, a feud between him and Braun Strowman was teased when the Monster Among Men came out to confront the Samoan Submission Machine on SmackDown a week before the Shake-up.

Right now, there seems to be no other plan for Strowman and feuding against Joe for the United States Championship might just be on the arc for him. As a result, in order to add meat to the feud, Joe and Strowman could have another confrontation on RAW tonight.

Strowman absolutely dismantled and buried EC3 not so long ago and, hence, it would be shocking to see Joe get the better of him tonight. However, it would be a good base to set up a match between the two for the US Title at Money in the Bank.
