The Beast and his advocate are back
It's always great to see Brock Lesnar on RAW. He's the Universal Champion for god's sake! The whole premise of this segment was to sell Lesnar as the underdog and Heyman did so with masterful ease.
The fans in California popped hard for the 5-time WWE Champion Beast Incarnate' return marched down the ring along with his advocate.
Heyman was on top of his game as he sold Strowman to be the biggest threat yet to Lesnar. He claimed that for the first time since the streak-ending match against the Undertaker at WrestleMania 30, the odds were heavily stacked against the Beast Incarnate.
He compared Strowman to the 2002 version of Lesnar -- a young upstart looking to take out the very best in the WWE. Heyman then went on to take a page out of the MMA book by hyping up a physical confrontation between Lesnar and Strowman.
He asked Lesnar if he was ready and then called out the Monster Among Men. Heyman is a freaking genius!
Strowman's music hit and the fans went ballistic as the two monsters began brawling in the middle of the ring.
Lesnar looked to take Strowman to Suplex City but Braun moved away. Lesnar finally connected with a suplex only to see Strowman no-sell it and get right back up on his feet!
Lesnar looked at Strowman in pure horror as the fans chanted holy s*** for a moment that deserved every bit of the chant! Strowman destroyed Lesnar with a running power slam as Heyman looked on with heightened concern.
Strowman took the Universal title and lifted it up for the crowd! Yeah, they cheered with all their might and we hope the top brass listened to the reaction. Put the belt on him already!
