Monday Night RAW saw the build to Elimination Chamber continue. Two more qualified for the chamber, and Cena, Elias & Braun Strowman did battle in an epic main event!

Roman Reigns vs Bray Wyatt

Bray Wyatt started the show in a backstage segment, reminiscing about his Elimination Chamber victory the previous year. He talked about his rivalry with Reigns, calling The Big Dog a failure waiting patiently to be put out of his misery.

Roman cut a promo saying that no one can stop him from becoming Universal Champion at WrestleMania. It looked like he was reading out of a teleprompter. But noticeably, these backstage focus promos have increased in WWE.

Reigns started the match strong but it was Bray Wyatt with the mind games, helping him get the better of his old rival. Matt Hardy was watching on from the weird WWE TV angle while Roman Reigns levelled The Eater Of Worlds.

Roman hit a series of lariat strikes on Wyatt at the corner but Bray powered him out and levelled him clean with a body collision. A good match upto that point with both men digging deep into their arsenal, as Roman would respond with a sit-out powerbomb.

Roman's superman punch was countered into a urinage, and the crowd was hot for Wyatt. Corey Graves compared the Reigns-Wyatt rivalry to Superman-Lex Luther/Batman-Joker. Reigns.

Bray Wyatt hit the Sister Abigail but Roman Reigns would become the first person to kick out of the Sister Abigail since Hell In A Cell 2015. Roman was incidentally the last one to do it.

Roman Reigns outpowered Bray, preventing a second Sister Abigail. He would then hit a spear for the win, becoming the fourth person to qualify for the Elimination Chamber match.

It was originally scheduled to be Dash Wilder vs Finn Balor, but The Revival insisted that they wanted a tag team match. While Balor Club started off strong, The Revival would soon isolate Balor and use great teamwork to prevent him from tagging Anderson in.

Balor finally managed to tag Anderson in, and the former Machine Gun Karl Anderson showed what he was made of. Anderson managed to take out Wilder and the tagged in Finn Balor hit the coupe-de-grace for the win.

Backstage, Sasha Banks was looking at her tab, watching her match with Asuka the previous week. Bayley came in and told her to stop being so hard on herself. Sasha said the day she stops being hard on herself is the day she stops being herself. She vowed to win the Elimination Chamber and walk into WrestleMania as champion and end Asuka's undefeated streak.

Bayley said she was thinking something similar, in that she planned to end Asuka's streak later in the night when she would face her. Sasha underhandedly berated her, asking if she thought she could actually beat Asuka. Bayley shot back saying that she knows she's beaten Sasha, and she knew she could beat Asuka.

Alexa Bliss made quite the accusation against Kurt Angle

Kurt Angle was proud that RAW's Asuka won the Women's Royal Rumble and talked about the Elimination Chamber. The Elimination Chamber match participants were announced to be: Bayley, Mickie James, Mandy Rose, Sonya DeVille, Sasha Banks and of course, Alexa Bliss, who would be defending her title.

Alexa Bliss came out and accused Kurt Angle of not treating her equal to Brock Lesnar, as he doesn't have to defend the Universal title at the Chamber while she does. Despite Kurt rationally responding, Alexa would go on to accuse Kurt Angle of sexism. Kurt Angle took a fan vote as to whether they wanted to see Alexa defend her title at the chamber, to which the crowd happily chanted "Yes!"

Asuka faced her old rival Bayley for the first time in over a year and a half

The two old rivals started out with the feeling out process and the two exchanged blows before Asuka was sent out of the ring. Bayley hit a high-risk hurricanrana through the ropes onto The Empress Of Tomorrow. After throwing her back in the ring, Asuka would knock Bayley off the ring with a hip attack.

Bayley was in control of the Royal Rumble winner, focusing on attacking the lower back of Asuka. Bayley hit a struck Asuka with her leg. Unsurprisingly, Asuka got control back and despite Bayley almost picking up the shocking pin, Asuka would transition into a smooth armbar, pinning Bayley.

Jason Jordan tries to interject in the finale of a 6-month rivalry

The Bar was not pleased by the last-minute replacement of Jordan. While Seth Rollins, the home state boy started off strong, The Bar then took control briefly before the Sheild brothers mocked the champions.

With some absolutely brilliant tag team work, The Bar cleared both competitors and took complete control. Despite interference from Sheamus, Reigns still fought back, preventing a neutralizer. Sheamus took out Rollins, preventing the tag.

Jason Jordan came out and encouraged Rollins and put him back in the ring, where he got the hot tag. The Architect took out the champions, with a distinctly beautiful suicide dive onto Cesaro, literally toppling him into the crowd.

Rollins was on fire and Jordan even assisted the challengers, holding Cesaro's leg, with Rollins almost getting the distraction pin. Roman told Jordan to leave. Roman & Seth had the match seemingly won but Cesaro pulled Sheamus from the ring and tried to leave for a count-out loss. Jordan prevented them from leaving and provocation caused Jordan to attack Sheamus, causing a DQ win for the champions.

Mickie James showed her aggressive side and had a surprising start against Sonya DeVille. While the two had a back and forth, the match itself didn't go on too long, with DeVille almost winning after Mandy Rose's distraction.

Mickie James' veteran instincts saw her pick up the roll-up pinfall on Sonya DeVille.

Absolution assaulted Mickie after the match, but it was a surprising run-in by the Women's Champion Alexa Bliss that saw her pull Mickie out of the ring and help her out. No one, including Mickie, knew what to make of the situation.
