WWE RAW Results: Huge title change; R-Truth breaks character; Bayley returns to attack top champ (6/9/25)

John Cena kicked off WWE RAW and made fun of the fans for calling for a "sideshow comedian whose biggest achievement was to pretend to be John Cena." He added that R-Truth was a gimmick that the fans would stop caring about soon enough. Cena was angry that this was his farewell tour, and he had 19 appearances left to go, but people cared more for R-Truth.

CM Punk interrupted the champ and stepped into the ring before staring Cena down. Punk said that he wasn't there to defend the establishment; he was there to defend the people from John Cena and The Final Boss. He name-dropped Ron Killings and said that he was going to take the title from Cena before reminding the champ that he knows what he's doing is wrong.

Punk added that the title had corrupted Cena and said that he was afraid of winning the title himself since it would make him a monster as well. Punk added that the title belongs to the people before challenging Cena to a title match tonight. Cena accepted the match but then said "not tonight", before setting it up for Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia.

Seth Rollins showed up with the Money in the Bank briefcase, flanked by Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. The Visionary stared the champ down with a grin on his face before RAW moved on.

Chad Gable was out with the Creed Brothers and talked about Money in the Bank, where he suffered some injuries. He added that he was an iron man before saying that he would face AJ Styles in the opening match.

WWE RAW Results: AJ Styles vs. Chad Gable

The match headed outside early on, and Chad Gable got a big slam on the floor before heading back to the ring. Gable got some strikes in the corner before getting a near fall off a German Suplex and diving headbutt.

AJ Styles got a big powerbomb before the Creeds interfered and were hit with kicks from the apron. Styles tried for the Phenomenal Forearm, but Gable turned it into the Ankle Lock. AJ managed to break the hold before getting the Styles Clash for the win.

Result: AJ Styles def. Chad Gable on RAW

Backstage on RAW, Roxanne Perez walked up to Liv Morgan and offered to help, but Liv told Roxanne to stay out of her way.

WWE RAW Results: Kairi Sane vs. Liv Morgan vs. Roxanne Perez vs. Rhea Ripley - Queen of the Ring Tournament: First Round Match

Roxanne Perez and Liv Morgan teamed up against Rhea Ripley and got some big hits on the apron before getting some double-team moves in the ring. Kairi Sane came back and was tossed into Rhea before the latter was tossed into the ringpost. Kairi managed to take the duo down and got a near fall off a forearm on Liv before Rhea came back with a dropkick on Roxanne.

Liv got the codebreaker on Rhea for a near fall before Kairi broke up the pin. Perez and Morgan tried for a double superplex on Kairi before Ripley took them down with a double powerbomb. Morgan was bleeding from the nose as Rhea took her and Roxanne down with a dropkick and a fallaway slam.

Rhea blocked the ObLivion and got the riptide before Raquel Rodriguez broke up the pin. Kairi hit a dive and took out Raquel and Liv before getting the insane elbow on Liv. Roxanne broke up the following pin and rolled Kairi up on top of Liv for the win.

Result: Roxanne Perez def. Kairi Sane, Liv Morgan & Rhea Ripley on RAW

Nikki Bella was backstage on RAW and introduced herself to the Women's World Champion IYO SKY before Becky Lynch made her way to the ring.

Becky Lynch was out next and talked about how Lyra Valkyria lost it and attacked her after the match at Money in the Bank. She called Lyra out and told her to raise her hand again and do it right.

Lyra made her entrance before Bayley made her return and attacked Becky from behind. Lynch tried to escape, but Lyra caught her and tossed her back in the ring. Bayley tried for the Roseplan,t but the champ barely escaped before running off.

Ron Killings/R-Truth came out of nowhere and got on the announce desk before telling the fans that they shouldn't let anyone tell them that they don't matter. He added that R-Truth was back because of the fans and said, "We won".

He said that R-Truth was too funny and too forgiving, but not him. Killings said that he wasn't a gimmick or a side show before taking some scissors and cutting off his hair. He announced that the Truth had set him free and that he was Ron Killings before walking out into the crowd.

Backstage in The Judgment Day clubhouse, Finn Balor looked a little upset that Dominik was in the King of the Ring tournament and not him. They were celebrating Roxanne's win, but Liv and Raquel came in looking very angry and told Perez off before storming out.

WWE RAW Results: Sami Zayn vs. Dominik Mysterio vs. Bron Breakker vs. Penta - King of the Ring Tournament: First Round

Bron Breakker was in control early on and got some big suplexes in the ring before getting a lariat on Dominik Mysterio. Penta got the Penta Driver and the Mexican Destroyer in the ring but failed to get the win.

Bron hit a big running spear on Penta at the ringside and wiped him out before LA Knight came in and hit the BFT to Bron on the floor. Sami Zayn hit the Exploder Suplex on Dom in the ring and got the Helluva kick of the win.

Result: Sami Zayn def. Dominik Mysterio, Bron Breakker & Penta on RAW

Grade: B+

Backstage, AJ Styles said that he was about to punch someone in the mouth for Paul Heyman threatening him last week.

The New Day was debating with Grayson Waller, who was seen arguing with Austin Theory earlier. Waller left before The New Day cut a short promo about being the Tag Champs.

Karrion Kross congratulated Sami for the win and was still trying to gaslight him into being a heel. Sami said that he won because he was good enough and didn't need to play dirty to win.

We got a teaser for the return of Asuka before WWE RAW continued.

Nikki Bella made her big return before she was interrupted by Liv Morgan, who said that she could beat Bella now and back in the day if Liv were there.

Bella fired back and talked about Roxanne stealing her match earlier and possibly stealing her man, Dominik Mysterio. Perez said that Bella would only ever be a reality star before hitting the former champ with the ObLivion and walking out.

WWE RAW Results: Jey Uso (c) vs. Gunther - World Heavyweight Championship match

Jey Uso started strong and tried for a sleeper hold early on, but Gunther broke out of it. Jey looked injured as the match went on, and as Gunther realised that his opponent was hurt, he attacked the injured ribs.

Gunther ripped off Jey's bandages, exposing his midsection, which had been injured in the attacks by Seth Rollins and his stablemates in recent weeks. Jey took some more shots to the ribs before the two traded fists in the middle of the ring.

Gunther tried for a sleeper hold but was sent outside before Uso hit a dive to the floor. Back in the ring, Uso got a spear before getting the Uso splash. Gunther broke another sleeper hold before Jey kicked out of a powerbomb.

Gunther hit a spear for another near-fall before Uso locked the sleeper hold again. Gunther reversed the hold and knocked Uso out for the win.

Result: Gunther def. Jey Uso to become the new World Heavyweight Champion on RAW
