WWE Raw Superstar of the Week (13/05/13)

This week’s RAW was quite tame and probably one of the weakest go-home shows I have seen in a long while.

WWE has never been so down on their star-power quotient and things just got worse with the World HW champion Dolph Ziggler out of RAW due to a concussion he suffered last week. Although we had good performances from the expected names, it wasn’t very tough to determine who had the crowd invested the most during the night, and that performer does know how to play ‘The Game’ real well.

Triple H, in his lengthy illustrious career with the WWE, has done it all. Multi-time champion, high-profile feuds and hell, he is the next-in-line to take over the business from Vince McMahon when the old man decides to ride off into the sunset. That being one hell of a responsibility, everybody and anybody who has followed the product over the years wouldn’t be surprised given how chameleon-like Triple H has been in his transformation within the various characters he has portrayed in his time in the WWE.

Last night, he took his year-long feud with Brock Lesnar to a whole new level by stressing on how good he is when surrounded by steel. His intensity when delivering a promo is unmatched in terms of realism and as usual, he had the crowd eating out of the palm of his hand with his slow, methodical but trademark intense delivery.

When it came time for action, like the veteran pro that he is, HHH made Brock look like a million bucks yet again by selling his offence as good as anyone. Triple H never fails to get a reaction and despite his part-time wrestler status, is as in tune with the current product as anyone and it’s easy to believe him when he says that the WWE ring is his ‘home’.

He sure does make the home look much better when he is in it!
