Are these two possible returns?

#4. Shouldn't return at the Royal Rumble: Naomi

Naomi had an underwhelming 2020
Naomi had an underwhelming 2020

Naomi had a great return at the 2020 Royal Rumble and did well in the limited time she was there. However, 2020 wasn't a great year for the former SmackDown Women's Champion.

The height of it was competing at the SmackDown Women's title Fatal-Five-Way match at WrestleMania 36, but she was out for the entirety of the early COVID-era. She underwent surgery in September and was drafted to RAW, but there hasn't been anything of note since.

The 2021 Royal Rumble match probably isn't the best place to re-introduce her. Perhaps she could return before (or after) that. If she returns before, there's a high chance of her competing in the Royal Rumble match.

#3. Should return: Sonya Deville

This would be a big one
This would be a big one

It's a real shame what happened to Sonya Deville. She was one of the Superstars genuinely benefiting from the empty arena shows at the WWE Performance Center.

In 2020, Sonya Deville improved significantly and was getting regular TV time. She was gaining a lot of momentum, but the unfortunate stalker incident happened in real life.

As a result of having to deal with legal issues, presumably coupled with mental health, WWE gave her time away, and she hasn't been assigned to any brand. Her last appearance saw her lose to Mandy Rose at SummerSlam 2020.

It's been over four months now, and Sonya Deville's return would be a big boost for the women's division. Hopefully, she will be able to return as a surprise entry to the Women's Royal Rumble.
