WWE Rumor Mill: Brock Lesnar's opponent for WrestleMania 35 revealed?

Is Brock Lesnar ready to burn it down?
Is Brock Lesnar ready to burn it down?

What's the story?

Brock Lesnar and Daniel Bryan had quite the match at Survivor Series, and The Beast Incarnate eventually did come out victorious. The question remains, who will take him on at WrestleMania?

According to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com (as reported by No DQ), Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins will battle it out at WrestleMania 35. And yes, this big match will be for the Universal Title.

In case you didn't know...

Brock Lesnar lost the Universal Championship to Roman Reigns at SummerSlam. He made a return to WWE at Hell in a Cell and recaptured the title at Crown Jewel, becoming the first ever 2-time Universal Champion.

Lesnar could face off with Strowman at the Royal Rumble based on the events at TLC. As per this rumour, it is unlikely that he will drop the title at the Royal Rumble, if the match even happens. But from the looks of it, Lesnar may have quite a big match scheduled for WrestleMania 35.

The heart of the matter

We saw Seth Rollins visibly shaken when Roman Reigns announced to the world that he was battling leukaemia. Apparently, Reigns' illness will be used in some fashion in the coming months, to build the feud between Lesnar and Rollins.

This is what veteran wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer had to say about the supposed title match:

Lesnar vs. Rollins is scheduled to play off Roman Reigns in some fashion, so Reigns’ name and illness are scheduled to continue to be used in storyline going forward.

That's all we know for now, so it'll be futile to speculate further. We'll have more information available, as soon as it's out.

What's next?

Brock Lesnar is not scheduled to work at the TLC pay-per-view, that'll happen next month. Seth Rollins is currently feuding with Dean Ambrose. The two men are scheduled to meet for the WWE Intercontinental Championship at the TLC pay-per-view.
