What's the story?
There's been a lot of anticipation over the main roster debut of Lars Sullivan. He's been labelled as a free agent by Michael Cole, with video packages of him airing on both brands. While it's still uncertain which brand he'll go to, Mike Johnson on PW Elite gave some clarity on what WWE has in store for Sullivan.
In case you didn't know...
Lars Sullivan has been considered by many in the past as the second coming of Brock Lesnar. Whether you agree or disagree, one thing's for certain - he's a legitimate freak athlete.
He had a relatively short stint on NXT, where he even competed for the NXT Championship (albeit in an unsuccessful attempt). After a year and a half with the yellow brand, he seems to finally be making his main roster debut, as WWE has been hyping him up since the RAW after Survivor Series.
As mentioned, WWE has been very clear to specify the fact that he's a free agent. This has led to a lot of speculation on what the creative plans for his debut is.
The heart of the matter
According to Mike Johnson on PW Elite (by way of Ringside News), WWE has big plans for Sullivan. Both brands are expected to fight over him and Sullivan in the meantime, won't be standing idly.
It seems as though he'll be appearing on both brands, causing havoc and destroying superstars. Johnson specified that he's going to be booked as a monster (which is expected). This would certainly make for an interesting storyline as the "Free Agent" story hasn't been used since John Cena.
This alone will cause a lot more interest in his upcoming debut.
What's next?
It's going to be interesting to see how WWE handles Sullivan upon his debut. There's little doubt that he's going to get pushed as he certainly possesses the "look" it requires to succeed in WWE.
