The Viper might be one of the most well-respected members of the WWE roster today, however, that wasn't always the case.

Orton's miscreant behavior and repeated shenanigans are things well-known to everyone. Randy Orton himself jokes about his younger days now. On the latest edition of After the bell with Corey Graves, Randy Orton discussed his WWE journey and how he was lucky to get second chances for his mistakes.

On being asked by Graves how he managed to stay on top for so long, The Legend Killer revealed that it wasn't an easy journey and he had to face reprimand for his errors, but he remained consistent:

A little bit of luck, a little bit of talent. I don’t know. I know that I’ve been given, earlier in my career, I was given multiple second chances. I’d get in trouble for it, there would be a punishment, whether it was time-out or fines, but I would always come back. I am very consistent. I’m a guy that you can put in there with a Ricochet, for instance, and I can possibly help out talent that needs a little bit of a push or needs a change

#4 CM Punk responds to Seth Rollins' constant jibes

Seth Rollins was one of the first Superstars to call out CM Punk after he returned to WWE programming on WWE Backstage last week. The Architect almost immediately took to Twitter and posted a tweet saying: Fight me CM Punk.

While CM Punk essentially no-sold Rollins' challenge on Twitter, Renee Young made sure to elicit a reaction out of the former WWE Champion when she asked Punk what advice he would like to offer Seth Rollins.

When CM Punk has tweeted 'no one is safe' prior to his debut as an analyst on WWE backstage this week, Rollins was again quick to retort saying that instead of talking about him, Punk should fight him instead.

Here is what Punk said on WWE Backstage in response to Seth Rollins' tweets:

"I want my journalistic integrity to be intact, so this isn't the show where you come on and shoot your little angles. Seth (Rollins) needs to stop tweeting and realise that sometimes it's better to be viewed as the fool and shut your mouth, or open your mouth and remove all doubt."

CM Punk's former friend Corey Graves decided to give his take on CM Punk's return as an analyst on WWE Backstage during his podcast. Graves, who has stated previously that it was Punk who ended their friendship in 2014 talked about if he feels that Punk would ever return to the ring:

“This, of course, has fuelled rumors and speculation aplenty: Is Punk coming back into the WWE fold? Is he going to compete again? Punk himself has said ‘no’, he’s not interested in wrestling any more. But, as his appearance alone proved, you can never say never in WWE. I’ve been getting a litany of tweets and Instagram messages asking my person opinion on the matter. My personal opinion on the matter is that it is a great move by FOX.”

Alex McCarthy of Talksport has stated that Triple H revealed that WWE originally planned for Bray Wyatt to take on Brock Lesnar and Adam Cole at Survivor Series. However, due to the story being strong with the ongoing feud between Brock Lesnar and Rey Mysterio they changed the plans.

#1 Randy Orton reveals the truth behind rumors of him leaving WWE

RKO
RKO

Randy Orton is what we can call a 'smart cookie'. The WWE veteran insinuated time and again on social media that he would be leaving WWE for AEW once his contract with the company ended.

However, The Viper revealed on After the Bell with Corey Graves, that he never really had any intention of joining AEW:

“This may be upsetting for some people, but I never really saw myself leaving WWE. To me, it was about getting to a point where I’m happy and what I’m doing in my body, the amount of time that I’m gone from my family. In the end, it’s all going to be worth it, and that’s where I’m at right now, so I’m definitely happy being a WWE Superstar.”

Randy Orton is one of the most experienced members of the roster today. Having started his career in 2002, Orton has been with the company for 18 years now, and having him leave would have been a fatal blow for WWE.

However, it is clear now that the 4-time World Heavyweight Champion never even intended to join AEW, or any other company.
