Dave Meltzer noted down a few interesting backstage updates regarding the TV returns of Sheamus and The Usos in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

The Usos are scheduled back somewhat soon. Basically when they have an idea to bring them back. Also in that category is Sheamus. He’s been off and has spinal stenosis, which is not a good thing long-term for a wrestler. But he is ready to return and if a storyline is there, he would be brought back.
Sheamus has not wrestled since the SmackDown episode of April 9th. As revealed by the former WWE Champion himself, he is in great shape to return and is just waiting on the WWE to come up with something worth sinking his teeth into.
The Usos have not been on TV since the end of July. Jimmy Uso's latest DUI arrest forced the company to keep the twins away from the limelight. The 6-time Tag Team Champions didn't compete at SummerSlam as well after Jimmy wasn't allowed to enter Canada due to his DUI charge and previous legal troubles.
For what it's worth, you should keep an eye out for Sheamus and The Usos making their respective comebacks at the upcoming Draft.
#5. WWE's direction for the Maria Kanellis angle
Rusev returned this week on RAW and was revealed to be the father of Maria Kanellis' baby. If you thought that was an undesired twist in the storyline, you are in for a ride and it may not be all that memorable for the right reasons.
Dave Meltzer provided details about the ongoing storyline in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter and said that the long-term angle is a running joke that will have a big reveal at the end of it all. And yes, Rusev is obviously not the father.
[The] Maria Kanellis angle back on RAW this week, the eventual plan is to reveal who the father is and build to that as a mystery for a ratings boost. Rusev is not the answer. It was described that this will be more a running joke than an angle building to a major reveal
We know that it's not been great this far, but we can only hope WWE can somehow salvage this storyline in the weeks to come.
