#3. Concern over the Universal title and Goldberg
As stated earlier, Reigns' removal from the Universal Championship match left WWE with no option but to take an unplanned detour in the current storyline direction.
Look who just shut down all of Tony Khan's critics! More HERE.
Tom Colohue told Dropkick DiSKussions host Korey Gunz that the original plan was to make Reigns the new Universal Champion at the show. However, there is now some concern with regards to the final destination of the angle.
Goldberg was not originally scheduled to appear after WrestleMania and getting him back would be an expensive decision to make.
Tom noted that nobody is happy backstage with the situation, however, at the same time, they all back Roman Reigns.
It's a tough situation that makes it very hard to predict the immediate future.
There is a concern that the Championship, the root as it were, from him after winning the Championship as was expected, and then going forwards, there is no saying what to do now. Goldberg is very expensive and he wasn't planned for any more appearances than this one, so it's difficult to say that this is going to happen or this is going to happen. There is some dislike about that. Everyone backs Roman, nobody is happy with the situation, and I think this is true with other people as well.
