However, the company has a backup plan.
As revealed by Sportskeeda's Tom Colohue on the new Dropkick DiSKussions podcast, WWE is attempting to convince the Flordia Government officials that the WWE Performance Center is indeed the home of all the talents.
WWE expects that the safe conditions of filming inside the closed set will be enough for the government to allow the company to continue taping shows at the Performance Center. They will also conduct the requires tests.
If the officials don't let WWE go ahead with the plan, it was revealed that Vince McMahon may have to go higher up the chain and make a few important phone calls.
Tom revealed the following:
At the moment the backup plan is still the Performance Center. They are attempting to communicate with the Government of Florida to try and say, the rule is that everyone has to stay at home, well, for all these wrestlers the Performance Center is home. That's what they are trying to do at the minute.
That was their plan beforehand, and when it comes to mass gatherings and things like that, they are essentially trying to say, this is their home, this is where their staying, this is a closed set, everyone's getting tested, we should be safe to continue. If things get too hairy with the Floridian government, Vince McMahon will make a call higher. I don't think I need to explain what that means.
