#6. The reason why WWE nixed the Maria Kanellis pregnancy angle

Mike Kanellis is another name who recently asked for his release, however, unlike other Superstars, Mike finds himself in a tricky situation. He signed a 5-year deal not too long ago and WWE, instead of granting him his release, took him off television. His absence meant that the storyline featuring Maria Kanellis and the entire pregnancy angle was nixed.

The aforementioned angle, as we now know, is being portrayed in a different way with Lana, Rusev and Bobby Lashley being the pivotal characters.

Dave Meltzer wrote in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the pregnancy story could not have been done without Mike Kanellis and with him out of the picture, WWE had no option but to nix the entire angle.

Mike Kanellis was removed from television but not given his release. In his case it could be worse since he had just signed a five-year deal and it’s a good money deal. But they dropped his storyline and instead moved a different version but moved it to a higher profile with Rusev and Lana. Maria, who didn’t ask for her release, has also been off television, but the storyline they were doing doesn’t work without Mike.

Mike, however, isn't wasting his time on the sidelines as he has embarked on a new venture outside the realms of wrestling.

#7. The Jordan Myles saga

If you have been keeping tabs on the Jordan Myles story, then you would know that the former Ring of Honor talent has no future with WWE. And he doesn't even want one.

The man, formerly known as ACH, recently took to Twitter and put out an expletive-laden video in which he announced that he was quitting WWE over alleged racism.

Dave Meltzer made an interesting revelation in the latest WON. It seems that WWE reached out to help Myles a few weeks before he went on a public attack against the company.

It was also revealed that Myles was in touch with at least one promotion outside WWE, however, that doesn't matter at this point as the company has still not officially granted him his release.

WWE has very much tried to help him weeks before he went public with his issues and at the time he disappeared from Orlando. Hardie Jr. then deleted the account that he posted on. WWE has not commented on this story. Hardie Jr. has been in contract with at least one promotion wanting to appear but I can’t see this being possible given there is no indication he’s been released by WWE.
