Drew McIntyre reveals Vince McMahon's reaction to WrestleMania match
In 2007, Vince McMahon introduced Drew McIntyre as the future WWE Champion to the WWE Universe but that dream of his did not bear fruit until last night. The Scottish Psychopath finally won the title by beating Brock Lesnar and he spoke about it to Sports Illustrated.
In his interview, he also revealed the WWE Chairman's reaction and claimed that he was happy for McIntyre. The WWE Champion claims that it was Triple H who brought him back and it only happened because The Game and the WWE Chairman believed in him.
He said:
He was happy for me. He knows the journey I’ve been through and how hard I’ve worked, and nobody works harder than Vince McMahon, so his respect means the world to me. Triple H was there too, and he’s the reason I’m back in WWE. Both of them believed in me, and it was very special to hear them say they’re proud of how far I’ve come as a performer and a man.
