Lars Sullivan, who had been absent from WWE over the past few weeks, was released by the company a month ago. While the news was made public only this week, it has led to a lot of speculation as to why Sullivan was released.

It has been reported by Dave Meltzer of WON that Lars Sullivan has been released because he no-showed on TV. Even though Vince McMahon was high on the Superstar, Sullivan's repeated absences led to his release from the company.

This wasn't the first time that Lars Sullivan had missed a television taping. He had also no-showed before his feud with John Cena was set to begin in 2019, leading to his push being scrapped.

Fightful Select spoke to Lars Sullivan following his release. Sullivan stated that his release from the company was a mutual decision and he himself had told WWE that he couldn't wrestle anymore.
