#4 Jake Hager says WWE icon John Cena refused to 'job' to him

Jake Hager has been doing a great job in AEW. Even though Hager is a former World Champion in WWE, he was never able to hold the coveted WWE Championship during his tenure with WWE.

While speaking to Chris Jericho on Talk Is Jericho, Hager revealed that it was John Cena who was responsible for him never being able to win the WWE Championship. Hager, who was known as Jack Swagger in WWE, stated that he was initially supposed to beat Cena for the WWE Championship but he refused to 'job' to him.

“I had a little inclination, but I had no idea what was going to happen. The night before, I teased it on Raw. I hit Cena with the briefcase, I snuck up on him when he had one of his brilliant promo segments. Later, come to find out, he refused to do the job for me for the [WWE] Championship. We won’t talk about that. Ugh. ‘The most unselfish top man in the business.” (H/t: Fightful)

Swagger went on to beat Chris Jericho for the World Heavyweight Championship instead.
