Speaking to Renee Paquette on Oral Sessions, Christians revealed details of him choosing to go to AEW to work a more regular schedule and not just be a part-timer in WWE.
"I didn't know, and as far as I knew at that point in time, I was going to be a complete secret, and I would just show up and be a surprise. I didn't realize there's gonna be an announcement, and honestly, this is 100 percent honest. On Wednesday, there was nothing signed."
Christian, who has now gone back to the name he used while in TNA - Christian Cage - will surely help the AEW roster with his years of experience.
