Why Roman Reigns 'destroyed' Jey Uso at WWE Clash of Champions

Roman Reigns destroyed Jey Uso at WWE Clash of Champions, to the point that Jimmy Uso had to come out and ask for mercy. The match result did not surprise the WWE Universe, but the one-sided nature did catch a few off-guard.

Dave Meltzer of WON now reports that the main reason for it was to show what Roman Reigns has become. They want to make the WWE Champion a top heel in the company, and the move was a stepping stone in that direction. He said:

"In fact the entire Reigns vs. Uso match was one-sided with the storyline that it wasn’t like Uso was ever going to win, but you hoped he would get out of there not being hurt badly. That said, in that case, it worked the way it played out because of the unique story of the big bad older cousin and the somewhat naive underdog younger cousin not in his league, but refusing to be humiliated and would rather take that beating even though it was only making things worse."

Roman Reigns is likely to start his next feud on SmackDown this week, and rumors suggest that it is very likely to be The Fiend Bray Wyatt.
