#1. RVD opens up about nixed WWE romantic angle with Stephanie McMahon

Rob Van Dam recently appeared on The Dropkick Podcast, and the former WWE Superstar spoke about his initial days in Vince McMahon's company.

The WWE creative team wanted to book RVD in a romantic storyline with Stephanie McMahon, and the former ECW Champion wasn't a big fan of the idea as he had an insecure girlfriend at the time.

"Something that comes to mind is when I first got there, they wanted me to do a bit of a romance angle with Stephanie and myself. And my evil ex was like the most insecure b—h on the planet, and I was like thinking, 'oh my God, this gonna cost me so much grief at home."

RVD revealed that he even had a chat with Stephanie McMahon, and she advised him to take it easy and think that he is an actor.

"We had a talk, me and Stephanie, and she said, 'you know, just think of this like you're an actor. I was like, 'that's cool, except you call me Joe Blow because I've been Rob Van Dam for the last ten years.'"

Stephanie McMahon has been involved in several romantic angles on WWE TV, and having one with RVD would have indeed made for some interesting programming.

During his latest podcast appearance, RVD also shared his thoughts about a possible WWE return.
