#4 Former Tag Team Champion Ivar to return to WWE after one year

Ivar of the Viking Raiders suffered an injury last week on RAW. The WWE Superstar is having neck surgery in Birmingham, Alabama today. Dave Meltzer of WOR noted that such injuries usually take a year to heal completely; suggesting that Ivar can be expected back only after a year or so.

Here is what Dave Meltzer stated on WOR:

''Yeah, that's a bad deal because usually, neck surgery means about a year out. It could be long or even longer. So, it impacts him greatly. It impacts Raymond Rowe a lot too because as you've seen, usually when they have a tag team and one of the guys gets out and is injured, sometimes they'll send the guy home and wait for the other guy to come back, which in this case is a year, or they will just job the other guy out.'' With Ivar out of action for another year, it will have to be seen if WWE continue using his tag team partner Erik or if they bench him as well. Erik could still be used for RAW Underground instead of not being used because of his partner.
