NXT Champion Finn Balor suffered a broken jaw during his match against Kyle O'Reilly at NXT Takeover 31. WWE Superstar Finn Balor revealed on Twitter that he had broken his jaw in two different places and even shared an X-ray image of his injury with the fans.

Dr. Jeffrey Westerfield talked about the extent of Balor's injury and even remarked that he was surprised Balor and O'Reilly were able to finish the match given its brutal nature.

"That match was so hard-hitting. It's amazing, I don't know how the two of them got through that match. Unfortunately, there's absolutely no chance that Kyle's going to be able to make TVs this week. Finn had two fractures in his jaw. Once the swelling goes down in a couple days, Finn's going to be able to talk very sparingly. Obviously it's going to have to have him out for a little bit of time."

It is said that the recovery time for a broken jaw is roughly 6 weeks. So we can expect The Demon King to return to action on WWE NXT in about a month and a half.
