What's the story?

The curious case of Braun Strowman continues to perplex the WWE Universe. The Monster Among Men was always billed to be the next big thing, as his popularity continued to soar with each passing week. However, a string of underwhelming booking decisions have all but ended the hype that once surrounded the former strongman.

As revealed on the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Strowman may be in the bad books yet again after he reportedly botched a few spots during his WrestleMania 35 match.

In case you didn't know...

Strowman won the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 35 after eliminating American comedian and SNL writer Colin Jost. The former Wyatt Family member even set the record for the most eliminations in the match.

While the accomplishments look good on paper, the Battle Royal is considered to be a throwaway match with winners from previous years never climbing up the cards in the aftermath of the win.

In Strowman's case though, it was viewed as a stepping stone to greater things and a reboot of sorts. Sadly, that has not been the case as Braun has done nothing of note ever since the Show of Shows, and, there is a bigger reason behind it all.

The heart of the matter

As per the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Strowman apparently forgot a few of his spots in the Battle Royal match, and one of them was quite evident enough. He missed a cue when Harper had hoisted Mustafa Ali in the air on the apron and was waiting for Strowman to deliver a bigfoot.

It seems that it wasn't the only spot that didn't come out as planned, as Strowman even botched the end of the match, which took the sheen away from a supposedly big win.

The Newsletter stated, "Apparently the end was a mess as Strowman forgot his spots, which is one of the reasons Strowman hasn’t done much since winning."

Strowman is known to have his issues backstage, which have time and again prevented him from cementing himself atop the card. The latest round of mishaps has further hurt all the momentum he had after 'Mania 35.

What's next?

Strowman is still a popular figure amongst the WWE Universe and could be in line for a push somewhere down the line if he manages to keep the WWE officials happy.

For now, all he needs to do is to remember his spots and stay out of trouble backstage.
