WWE Rumors: John Cena might not be drafted to SmackDown

The face of the WWE may stay in RAW

The fans were overjoyed when WWE announced that SmackDown will be airing live from Tuesday, July 19th. It was also confirmed that RAW and SmackDown will once again feature unique rosters. This announcement made by the company paved the way for several rumors.

Many rumors flowing in social media indicated that WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns will be headlining RAW, while 15-time WWE Champion John Cena will be drafted to SmackDown, after the brand extension.

Stemming those rumors wrestlinginc.com reports that John Cena will most possibly remain in RAW and there is a very low possibility of him getting moved to SmackDown.

Several reports indicate that Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins will be the dark main event for the first live SmackDown on July 19th. Other stars who are advertised for the show include Dean Ambrose, AJ Styles, Kevin Owens and the current WWE Women’s Champion, Charlotte.

Interestingly, all the updated post-brand split SmackDown advertising features Roman Reigns, but no Cena. However, similar advertising also lists AJ Styles. AJ is rumored to feud with Cena till SummerSlam, unless their program is dropped after their confirmed match at the upcoming WWE Money In The Bank pay-per-view.
