Unfortunately, Lars Sullivan is battling major anxiety issues

What's the story?

Mental health issues are no joke and therefore, I'll try and word this piece in a tactful manner. Lars Sullivan was supposed to make his WWE debut in dark matches last week before RAW and SmackDown Live but did not show up owing to anxiety attacks.

While the original report states that Sullivan was sent home, new information has come to light about the situation. Sullivan was never in Orlando where RAW took place or Jacksonville where SmackDown Live took place, nor was he home in Colorado.

In case you didn't know...

Apparently, Lars Sullivan was supposed to get a huge push after his main roster debut. He was supposed to take on John Cena and defeat him at WrestleMania 35.

Unfortunately, Sullivan's anxiety attacks kept him from making his debut. Both EC3 and Lacey Evans would work dark matches on RAW before the show began. Heavy Machinery worked a dark match on SmackDown Live.

The heart of the matter

It does seem like Lars Sullivan is suffering from serious mental problems and one wonders what approach WWE will take when dealing with the situation. Mauro Ranallo is a great example of someone who has overcome his mental health issues and performs at the highest level as the voice of NXT.

Lars Sullivan has the look, the physique, and the demeanour to be a top-tier WWE superstar. The question remains whether he will be able to survive the WWE schedule and all the challenges it entails when he is ready to make his return. One hopes that WWE treats this situation with the care it deserves.

What's next?

Let's hope that Lars Sullivan can overcome his issues and reach his potential in due time. Maybe delaying his debut may be the best course of action for the big man. Sullivan could become a huge deal when he finally does make his debut.

How should WWE handle this situation? Let us know in the comments.
