What's the story?

As per Sports Illustrated (via Cagesideseats.com), it is being reported that it is looking unlikely that Triple H will be ready for his against Batista or anyone else by the time Wrestlemania 35 comes around.

This will come as a huge disappointment to all the fans who were pumped for a possible encounter between The Game and The Animal at Wrestlemania 35.

In case you didn't know...

Triple H suffered a pectoral injury during his tag team match against The Undertaker and Kane when he teamed with his long-time friend Shawn Michaels at the Crown Jewel event held in Saudi Arabia in November 2018.

Hunter has undergone surgery and even though his in-ring return date was not declared, many hoped that the current WWE COO would be back in action before Wrestlemania 35. However, that doesn't seem to be the case.

The heart of the matter

Ever since WWE teased a match between Triple H and Batista at the Smackdown 1000 episode, the WWE has been abuzz as to when these two legends will clash again.

At the episode, we saw a reunion of the Evolution stable which consisted of Triple H, Batista, Ric Flair and Randy Orton running roughshod on RAW during the early 2000s.

However, the reunion soon took an ugly turn when Batista taunted Triple H calling him out for not having been able to defeat The Animal ever, which led to a minor confrontation giving rise to speculation regarding a future match between the two.

What's next?

We had reported earlier that WWE is planning a huge match for Batista at Wrestlemania 35, and with Triple H most likely out of action at that time it will be interesting to see what WWE will have in store for the Guardians of the Galaxy star.
