WWE Rumors: Paul Heyman reportedly responsible for the creation of new team

Per the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Bobby Roode recently having been paired with Dolph Ziggler, is owing to WWE RAW Executive Director Paul Heyman planning to accord a push to Roode.

The team of Bobby Roode and Dolph Ziggler won the Tag Team Turmoil Match on the most recent episode of Monday Night RAW, and went on to become the number 1 contenders for the red brand's Tag Team Titles.

Reigning Universal Champion Seth Rollins and "The Monster Among Men" Braun Strowman presently hold the RAW Tag Team Titles.

On that note, the WWE's move of booking the newly-formed team of Roode and Ziggler to challenge the RAW Tag Team Champions at Clash of Champions, caught the vast majority of the pro wrestling community by surprise.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has now noted that the new team is Heyman's brainchild, and that the veteran pro wrestling genius is a proponent (supporter) of Roode.

Moreover, it's being asserted that the team's victory in the Tag Team Turmoil Match on RAW, was meant to be a showcase for Roode in order to get him over, particularly since he had been booked as little more than a lower-tier Superstar for quite long.

Although nothing is confirmed as of this time, Roode and Ziggler could potentially end up winning the RAW Tag Team Championship from Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman.

The aforesaid speculation as regards Roode and Ziggler beating the latter duo at Clash of Champions; could be because the primary reason behind Rollins and Strowman being booked to win the Tag Team Titles in the first place, was to serve as the commencement of a Universal Title feud between "The Architect" and "The Monster Among Men".

The WWE's Clash of Champions event is set to transpire at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina on September 15th.

Apart from defending the RAW Tag Team Titles with Braun Strowman against Roode and Ziggler at the event, Rollins will also defend his Universal Championship against Strowman on the same card.
