WWE Rumors: Potential plans for Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman and Brock Lesnar revealed

Braun Strowman calls out Brock Lesnar

What’s the story?

In a new report by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Brock Lesnar, Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns are included in some interesting plans after the superstar shake-up that will take place on the April 10th edition of Monday Night Raw.

In case you didn’t know...

Vince McMahon announced the Superstar shake-up last week and guaranteed that both shows will see change when it takes place. Speculation has become intense among the WWE Universe as to who will get moved to each program.

AJ Styles, the New Day, Charlotte and Alexa Bliss are among the popular wrestlers to swap brands. However, not a lot of people are talking about the three big stars on WWE Raw: Lesnar, Strowman and Reigns.

The Beast Incarnate is fresh off winning his first WWE Universal Championship. Reigns just defeated, and perhaps, retired the Undertaker. Strowman didn’t have the best WrestleMania, but WWE officials pushed in a way that made the Battle Royal at ‘Mania irrelevant to his career.

Now, the Superstar shake-up will most likely not cover those three men, but there’s always a chance.

The heart of the matter

Where could Reigns and Strowman end up after this Monday? Meltzer believes that Reigns’ status is unknown and Lesnar isn’t wrestling at Payback like previously intended.

In regards to Roman Reigns, no one knows for sure what his status is. Some in the company have said that he is moving to Smackdown Live but others have said that he is staying on Raw. If he does move to Smackdown Live then it would be interesting because long-term plans are for him to eventually face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 34. Also, Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman is the plan for the WWE Payback pay-per-view in San Jose, CA.

What’s next?

For Lesnar, he presumably won’t be seen for a while. Don’t expect him on WWE television, or the next couple of pay-per-views.

Reigns and Strowman is a different story. It appears they will wrestle for the number one spot to Lesnar’s title and fight him for the Universal title at a future PPV.

Author’s take

To me, this is kind of like taking the head cheerleader to prom. Lesnar is the Universal champion and won’t show up for a few months, leaving Reigns and Strowman to do all the work.

What also doesn’t make sense is the win Reigns has on Strowman anyway. The Superstar shake-up will provide a lot of unanswered questions, and the point of excitement for this rivalry.
