WWE Rumors: Reason why Stephanie McMahon went through a table at WrestleMania 33

Stephanie McMahon going through a table wasn’t just for a ”WrestleMania moment
"

What’s the story?

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the reason Stephanie McMahon took a table bump at WrestleMania was because she had a family vacation scheduled, so it was a way to write her off television.

In case you didn’t know...

At WrestleMania 33, Stephanie McMahon went through a table outside the ring after her husband Triple H had fallen towards her. This wrote her off the storyline for a while, and Kurt Angle was named as RAW’s new General Manager.

It is not known when Stephanie will return, but it is expected in a matter of time.

Last year at WrestleMania 32, Stephanie McMahon took a bump when she was accidentally speared by Roman Reigns, resulting in a huge pop by the crowd that was booing Roman Reigns.

While Stephanie McMahon is off television, she may miss the next few weeks of Raw. There are two weeks left until the RAW exclusive Pay-Per-View Payback, so she may be off TV until then.

It will be interesting to see how her on-screen relationship with General Manager Kurt Angle goes about. It may lead to some very interesting storylines. However, right off the bat, she will likely be involved with Seth Rollins, the storyline reason for her going through the table.

Kurt Angle told Rollins on the latest episode of RAW that Stephanie McMahon wants him gone from RAW, but he vowed to stand up for The Architect.

What’s next?

Stephanie McMahon will continue to remain off television until she is required to come back, and then her presence will be felt on RAW.

Author’s take

Stephanie McMahon being off television is best for business. While she is a respectable personality off-screen and has accomplished a lot in the WWE, her presence on a weekly basis on television feels unnecessary and more often than not does nothing to help the talent get over.
