What’s the story?

According to Cageside Seats, former TNA superstar Rockstar Spud will be beginning his tenure with WWE next week.

In case you didn’t know...

Spud, 34, has been grinding away both in Britain and over in the United States for the better part of a decade now. Following his stint in TNA, which began courtesy of the popular British Boot Camp series, Spud set his sights on continuing to rise up the ladder in professional wrestling.

The heart of the matter

It’s been heavily rumoured for a while now that Spud will be making the switch over to WWE, and if PWInsider is to be believed, then his actual debut appears to be imminent.

What’s next?

It’s time for us to sit back and see whether or not this comes to fruition, but at this moment, it’s not clear as to whether or not he’ll be heading for the main roster or whether he’ll spend some time down in NXT first.

Author’s take

Spud is an extremely talented performer both as a comic wrestler and a serious one, and there are more than enough roles for him in WWE.
