Will Strowman vanquish Roman once and for all?

What's the story?

As reported by Cageside Seats, a stipulation is expected to be added to the bout between Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns at WWE Payback. Reigns was absent from Monday Night Raw this week following the brutal attack that he suffered at the hands of Strowman.

In case you didn't know...

It's highly expected that the winner of the Strowman vs. Reigns bout will be the first man to challenge Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship. The Raw after Mania 33 planted the seeds for Brock to take on whichever man comes out on top in this rivalry, with the Reigns-Lesnar 2 rumours, in particular, gathering more and more traction by the day.

The heart of the matter

In the aforementioned report, the rumour floating around is that the stipulation will help Braun to keep his momentum heading into the anticipated feud with Lesnar. It also means that Reigns can take a loss without having to be pinned, which would obviously be seen as a problem because he just retired The Undertaker.

What's next?

It's time to wait and see what happens when it comes to the Payback match, but considering how impressive their bout at Fastlane was we should all be pretty excited about what's to come. Reigns will likely return to Raw on the go-home show for the pay per view in order to promote what will probably be the main event in San Jose.

Author's take

Adding a stipulation to this is most certainly the best course of action, as we've already seen the match happen a number of times. Braun has been made to look really strong over the last few weeks, and that'll probably continue here, and if we had to guess what the stipulation would be, we'd go with an Ambulance Match.
