WWE Rumors: The Miz-Dean Ambrose and Bray Wyatt-Finn Balor feuds may be switched

Two of the WWE’s most talented Superstars

What’s the story?

As reported by Cageside Seats, the two planned feuds of The Miz vs Dean Ambrose and Bray Wyatt vs Finn Balor may be switched round to having Dean Ambrose face Bray Wyatt and The Miz square off with Finn Balor. Both of the revised feuds have been hinted at over the last few weeks.

In case you didn’t know...

Three of the four men involved in these potential bouts came over from SmackDown Live in the Superstar Shake-Up, with Balor having not been involved on Monday Night Raw until the night after WrestleMania. This shows how keen WWE are to switch things up, with the entire face of the red brand receiving a mid card makeover since Orlando.

The heart of the matter

According to the report, there’s speculation backstage that the two new ideas we’ve already mentioned will be where Vince eventually decides to go. In terms of what’s already happened on WWE television, Bray Wyatt appeared during the main event of Raw on Monday night and immediately attacked Ambrose. Prior to this, it was announced that Balor would be appearing on Miz TV this Sunday at Payback.

What’s next?

Payback will offer up a good indication of where WWE plans to go with these feuds, as Finn Balor prepares to be a guest on the latest edition of Miz TV. When it comes to Ambrose vs Wyatt, however, we’ll likely have to wait until Monday night with the Eater of Worlds currently occupied with the House of Horrors match against Randy Orton in San Jose.

Author’s take

The only reason we can think of behind why this is happening would be to preserve the Wyatt vs Balor feud for a bigger stage. We’ve already seen Ambrose vs Wyatt time and time again, and in all honesty, it didn’t live up to it’s potential. Sure we’ve seen Ambrose vs Miz too, but that feels a little bit more fresh considering they’ve completely switched brands.
