WWE Rumours: Becky Lynch vs Alexa Bliss expected to continue at TLC

The duo had an outstanding match at Smackdown Live

Tuesday night at Glasgow on Smackdown Live, Becky Lynch had her first defence of the Smackdown Women’s Championship against Alexa Bliss. In an excellent bout, Becky ended up winning and retaining her championship after making Alexa Bliss tap out to the dis-arm-her.

However, this did not happen without controversy, as Alexa Bliss’ foot was on the ropes, but that was something the referee oversaw. It seems to have been a finish to extend the storyline, because according to Cage Side Seats, their feud is expected to continue onto TLC.

This means that Alexa Bliss will not be getting another shot just yet. First, she has to be allied with her arch nemesis Becky and the other women of the blue brand in order to face Team Raw in the 5-on-5 elimination match. There are only two weeks between Survivor Series and TLC, so WWE needs to speed up on building the matches for it.

This is the reason why AJ Styles vs Dean Ambrose in a TLC match has been announced for the event.

On Talking Smack, Renee Young suggested to General Manager Daniel Bryan that he make the Women’s Championship rematch between Becky and Alexa take place next week on Smackdown Live’s 900th episode.

The event will also feature the return of Edge, The Undertaker, and even an Intercontinental Championship match between Dolph Ziggler and The Miz, the latter match which has the stipulation of Miz going to Raw if he loses.

It should be an extremely interesting episode, and the ratings are expected to be back to normal, perhaps even higher next week. This week’s edition of Smackdown is expected to get a lower rating due to the Presidential election electoral vote count and announcement.
