What’s the story?

For a week now, the talking point for the WWE Universe has been The Revival's request for an early release. However, Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson have some bad news as WWE have decided not to grant them their request.

In case you didn’t know…

The Revival reportedly asked for an early release straight after their match on Monday Night RAW last week. The tag-team are not happy with their position in the company and were looking to leave as per recent reports.

The Revival were on a losing streak against the Lucha House Party when Baron Corbin was the active GM and that was not well received by the WWE Universe. They were then given a title shot 2 weeks ago but a controversial loss saw them lose their opportunity of the tag-team gold from Chad Gable and Bobby Roode.

The heart of the matter

Wrestling Observer Newsletter [H/T SEScoops] now claim that WWE have asked them to give them three more months and see how things change. The tag-team is set to be given a push as per reports this week and WWE are going to do everything they can to keep them at the club.

Meltzer also reports that their contracts are up only in the summer of 2020 and they will have to remain at the company until then. “They have been wanting to give notice for a while. Everything is up in the air, they worked the house shows this weekend. They haven’t been given their release. Their contract is up in April 2020 which is a long ways away,” Meltzer said on the show.

Pro Wrestling Sheet then added, “Sources tell us the tag team’s decision to ask for their releases was based on how little time and respect the division is given.”

What’s next?

The Revival might be given another title shot at the Royal Rumble and might even get the win as WWE are going to do everything to keep hold of the duo.
