#2 There were several promo issues last night
Whilst in-ring ability is one of the most important traits of being a WWE Superstar, the ability to cut promos is also important, so it came as a shock that several Superstars tripped over their lines last night on SmackDown.
The SmackDown roster celebrated the New Year with last night's show, and it's important to point out that the next few months are the most stressful on the WWE calendar, with the buildup to WrestleMania kicking off at The Royal Rumble.
It could be stress which effected many of SmackDown's most tenured stars, but promo trips were much more noticeable than usual in Memphis last night as Cathy Kelley and Daniel Bryan were two of the shock stars who tripped over whilst delivering their lines to the camera as part of last night's show.
Interestingly, there were not many promo moments last night on RAW, but Elias' song that led to him announcing his participation in the upcoming men's Royal Rumble match was one of the highlights.
