If you haven’t been liking what Raw has been dishing out in the past few months, then you would be loving what’s happening at the blue brand.

SmackDown Live seems to have forgotten how to deliver bad episodes now, and with the inclusion of Vince McMahon coming out to deliver some segments, we know where the focus of the company is.

This week once again SmackDown Live was what Daniel Bryan would consider as B+, as we were treated with the night starting with The Miz, intervening with the Kevin Owens show, and ending with an hour of Kofi Kingston.

With all the right ingredients, SmackDown managed to move fans and storylines the way it intended to, but there were a few moments that left the fans in shock.

In this article, we will look at the 3 most shocking moments from the show, and look forward to hearing yours in the comments section below!

#3 The IIconics beat the Tag Team Champions

The IIconics had been calling out The Boss 'N' Hug Connection to appear on SmackDown Live for weeks. Their calls were answered on this week’s episode.

The IIconics finally had their opportunity to prove they are the better tag team in the company, as Peyton Royce and Billie Kay battled Bayley and Sasha Banks in a non-title match.

As things have been heating up on Raw for the Women’s Tag Team Championships, with Natalya and Beth Phoenix challenging the champions, and Tamina and Nia Jax proving their dominance, it seems like the scene is about to get more crowded.

Lacey Evans once again caused a distraction in a match, which makes one think whether she has been called up as a wrestler or just a distraction.

In a shocking turn of events, a superkick from Kay to Bayley laid her out at ringside, allowing Royce to score a roll-up upset victory.

Now it seems like WWE will surely be booking a fatal four-way match for the Women’s championship to keep their promise of having the title defended by wrestlers from all three brands.

#2 Kofi Kingston beat his opponents without any distractions

Before the gauntlet match began this week, fans were certain that at least one to two of the superstars facing Kofi Kingston would face elimination either due to a distraction, or interference.

The Bar, Samoa Joe, Rowan, and Randy Orton are all heels and have made enough enemies on the blue brand to constantly be under threat. Other than that, Kofi’s brothers in The New Day were also expected to make some interference to help their leader pull through.

However, that was not the case as WWE tried to build Kofi up as much as possible based purely on his own skill, endurance, determination, and pain threshold.

Kofi was able to overcome not one, not two, but all five men to show the WWE Universe that he is indeed much more than just a B+ superstar.

Even though Rowan was disqualified from the match, he probably inflicted the most pain and damage onto the veteran superstar, but that wasn’t enough to keep Kofi down for long.

#1 The KofiMania Screw Job

The New Day's celebrations were short-lived
The New Day's celebrations were short-lived

When all was done and dusted, and when The New Day were celebrating with their leader after he overcame Sheamus, Cesaro, Rowan, Samoa Joe, and Randy Orton, the ordeal wasn’t really over.

Vince McMahon made his way out to spoil the party once again, and McMahon announced that, for Kingston to go to WrestleMania, he had to defeat one last Superstar: Bryan himself.

Vince put one last obstacle in "Stone Cold" Kofi Kingston's way, infuriating the audience and creating exactly the red-hot scenario the writing team dreamed of.

While this will surely help build Kofi as a babyface even more and make the fans hate Daniel Bryan and Vince, it will lead to a better storyline heading into WrestleMania.

Kofi Kingston lost the match against Daniel Bryan, and his dream of having a one-on-one match for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania seems to be over.

However, next week we will find whether the dream is over, or whether it has just begun.
