#2 Kofi Kingston beat his opponents without any distractions
Before the gauntlet match began this week, fans were certain that at least one to two of the superstars facing Kofi Kingston would face elimination either due to a distraction, or interference.
The Bar, Samoa Joe, Rowan, and Randy Orton are all heels and have made enough enemies on the blue brand to constantly be under threat. Other than that, Kofi’s brothers in The New Day were also expected to make some interference to help their leader pull through.
However, that was not the case as WWE tried to build Kofi up as much as possible based purely on his own skill, endurance, determination, and pain threshold.
Kofi was able to overcome not one, not two, but all five men to show the WWE Universe that he is indeed much more than just a B+ superstar.
Even though Rowan was disqualified from the match, he probably inflicted the most pain and damage onto the veteran superstar, but that wasn’t enough to keep Kofi down for long.
