#1 WWE did not want this match to overshadow Corbin vs. Angle
Let's not lose sight of the fact that while AJ Styles vs. Kurt Angle may be a more exciting match overall, Baron Corbin vs. Kurt Angle is the match that is scheduled for WrestleMania this year. And WWE does not want the WWE Universe to care more about this match than the match that is scheduled for WrestleMania.
Let's assume that this match had stolen the show. Not only would the audience not have cared about Corbin vs. Angle at WrestleMania, but they would also have probably hijacked the match with chants of 'boring' as well. You would know as you're also a part of the WWE Universe, dear reader!
And so they booked this match as a no contest, in my opinion. What do you guys think?
