WWE SmackDown Live Preview (17/4/18): Superstar Shake-Up Continues, Huge Debut

Enter cap

The first night of the Superstar Shake-Up on RAW was a great night for the red brand. 19 Superstars moved to the red brand, and RAW's roster now looks stacked.

SmackDown, on the other hand, looks a little thin and Shane McMahon and Paige need to make some big moves tonight.

Multiple NXT debuts

We saw Drew McIntyre make his main-roster re-debut on RAW last night as he came out to help his new partner in crime Dolph Ziggler destroy Titus Worldwide. A number of NXT stars also made their RAW debuts last week on the RAW after Mania.

Last week's SmackDown saw the SmackDown debut of the Iconics and we can expect a couple more tonight. NXT stars who could debut include Andrade 'Cien' Almas and the group SAniTy.

The Miz returns and faces-off with Daniel Bryan

The feud between Miz and the Daniel Bryan has been brewing since their days on Talking Smack when Miz was on the blue brand and Bryan was still SmackDown GM.

Now that Bryan is finally cleared to compete, and with Miz being traded back to SmackDown at Bryan's request, we will finally see the two of them go head to head. Bryan has been waiting for this for a long time, after repeatedly being verbally humiliated by The Miz, he can finally make the Miz shut his mouth.

Your new SmackDown Women's Champion

Charlotte ended WrestleMania retaining her SmackDown Women's Championship and ending Asuka's streak. SmackDown two nights later didn't go as well. The Iconics attacked Charlotte and Carmella then came out to cash-in her Money In The Bank contract. Carmella pinned Charlotte to win the SmackDown Women's Championship.

Carmella will start her reign on SmackDown tonight. What's next for her? A new opponent or a rematch with Charlotte?

Superstar Shake-Up continues

The first night of the Superstar Shake-Up saw 19 Superstars move from RAW to SmackDown. SmackDown's roster looks really depleted, and the blue brand needs to make some, if not a lot, of big moves tonight.

We could see the likes of Seth Rollins, Finn Balor and possibly even Braun Strowman move to SmackDown. As far as the women go, Sasha Banks and/or Bayley could make the move. Mickie James or Alexa Bliss could also be on the move.
