A bit transpired on SmackDown Live following the attack on Daniel Bryan the prior night.

Shane McMahon makes a huge Survivor Series announcement

The SmackDown commissioner was all business kicking things off

Shane started justifying the Siege of RAW the prior week. He said that while the 25th anniversary of RAW is a great achievement, but RAW always viewed SmackDown Live as the inferior brand and they needed to change this perception.

He said there's hell to pay for what happened to Daniel Bryan the prior night on RAW and named himself as team captain for Survivor Series.

He declared that the show should start and the lights went out. Bobby Roode had arrived!

Was The Glorious One able to cement his place on team SmackDown?

Dolph Ziggler came out with no entrance for some heat. Roode attempted a Glorious DDT right off the bat but failed.

The action soon went outside the ring and Roode was able to throw Ziggler against the barricade. Roode threw Ziggler back into the ring and was shortly met with a superkick and pinned.

Dolph Ziggler scored the first pinfall

WWE made the weird decision of not airing the equalizing fall for Bobby Roode. It was one apiece after the commercial break. Following this, Roode planted Ziggler with a slam for a nearfall.

The two tried rolling over one after the other for a roll-up victory but Bobby Roode used the momentum of the roll to hit the Glorious DDT, and then the win.

After the match, Roode was interviewed by Renee Young. He told her that he hopes the remaining two members of team SmackDown are as passionate as the 3 already on the team. He ended it with "SmackDown Up! RAW Down!"
