#3 Carmella emerges as the next big challenger for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship
Last week on WWE SmackDown, we saw Sasha Banks successfully defend her Women’s Championship against her former best friend, Bayley. The two Superstars delivered a good match that ended with Banks retaining her title for the first time in her WWE career. But her celebration was quite short-lived.
When Banks was heading backstage, she met with a former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion who wanted to make her presence known. It was none other than Carmella who made her return to the Blue brand and went straight for the champion. She kicked Banks right in her face, forcing the champion to fall flat on the ramp.
It is almost certain that Carmella will be the next challenger for Sasha Banks’ WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship. Before that, Carmella might want to pick a couple of dominant victories, and she could win a squash match on this week’s show. If that happens, we will surely see Banks confronting Carmella for her actions last week, teasing a full-blown feud between the two Superstars.
