Randy Orton celebrates after beating Kane with help from The Wyatt Family

WWE SmackDown came to us live from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Randy Orton turned on Kane last week on the blue brand and it will be interesting to see how The Demon responds to The Viper. James Ellsworth cost Dean Ambrose a title shot against AJ Styles last week and we will see the repercussions to that tonight.

Here are the complete WWE SmackDown results for 1st November, 2016:

#1 James Ellsworth apologizes to Dean Ambrose

The show starts with Ellsworth in the middle of the ring addressing the capacity crowd of the Prudential Center. The world famous Jobber thanked Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon for giving him the opportunity to thank the fans before he leaves, following what happened on last week’s episode of the blue brand where Ellsworth cost Ambrose a title shot.

Ellsworth revealed that he has not been able to eat or sleep and will not be able to get back to a normal life until he apologizes to The Lunatic Fringe. He then calls Ambrose to the ring and the former WWE World Champion obliges.

Ambrose comes out and says that Ellsworth does not owe him an apology but the jobber responds by highlighting how Ambrose helped him record two victories over WWE World Champion AJ Styles and how he cost Ambrose the title-shot last week.

Ellsworth then adds that ‘any man with two hands can make a mistake’. Ambrose claims that it is all alright and he only wants Ellsworth to promise him that he won’t interfere in his match ever again. Ellsworth responds by claiming that he cannot go back in time and undo what he did last week but he can look Ambrose in the eye and apologize to him.

Styles’ music hits and out comes the WWE World Champion. The Phenomenal One claims that Ellsworth owes some of the money earned from the merchandise sales to him, as it was him who made the Jobber famous. Styles and Ambrose are then involved in a heated exchange of words as Ellsworth tries to put a lid on the situation.

But Styles shoves him into Ambrose before attacking him and hitting the Phenomenal Forearm.

#2 Kane vs. Randy Orton – No Disqualification Match

Randy Orton turned on Kane on last week’s episode of the blue brand as he hit the RKO on the Big Red Machine during the latter’s match against Bray Wyatt, allowing the Eater of Worlds to pin him for the win. Following the unexpected turn, The Viper gave a subtle hint of joining The Wyatt Family when he said: “If you can’t beat them, join them.”

The Viper is the first to make his way to the ring followed by Kane. Orton goes for the chair immediately after the start but Kane gets hold of it instead and unloads on The Viper’s back. Orton tries to fight back but his efforts are in vain as The Demon delivers a sidewalk slam.

Kane readies himself for the Chokeslam but lights go out and the usual Wyatt Family visual flashes on the screen. When the lights come back Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper are seen ringside. Orton tries to take advantage of the situation by hitting an RKO outta nowhere but his attempts are foiled by Kane, who is then pulled from behind by Harper and Wyatt.

Kane takes out the duo outside of the ring before making his way back to the ring and grabbing Orton by the neck. But Harper and Wyatt interfere and this allows Orton to hit the RKO for the win.

Result: Randy Orton defeats Kane via pinfall

After the match as Kane gets up he is dropped by a huge clothesline from Harper. Orton then pushes Kane into the hands of Wyatt, who nails the Sister Abigail and the three celebrate.

The Miz couldn’t believe that he was not considered for the team and starts to trash talk Bryan before claiming that he was the captain that the team needed. Bryan then reveals that he did not want combustible elements in the match and hence Miz was not considered.

The Miz then loses his cool and starts abusing Bryan before calling him a good-for-nothing chump who can just clean John Cena’s house on Total Bellas. Bryan has had enough of this as he throws his chair across the ring as The Miz makes his way out of the ring.

Bryan then calls The Miz a coward for rejecting Ziggler’s offer of a title match for the Intercontinental Championship on last week’s episode. He then announced that Ziggler will be defending his IC title in an Open Challenge to the entire roster.
