SmackDown GM Paige kicked off the show with the announcement that the first qualifying match for the Money in the Bank men's ladder match would begin shortly. Jeff Hardy's music hit and he walked up to the ring. The second entry for the qualifier match was The Miz and we cut to a video package of The Miz securing the Money in the Bank victory in 2010 and then his World Title victory 4 months later in the November of 2010.

The Miz started off strong and held Hardy in a submission but Jeff replied with a tackle and then a splash. Jeff Hardy took flight and sent The Miz crashing into the barricades. Jeff went for a Swanton Bomb in the ring but The Miz retreated in time as we headed into the first commercial break of the night.

We returned to see Jeff holding The Mizz in a submission but The A-lister got out of it. The Miz delivered a neck breaker to Jeff but only got a near fall. The Miz failed to land the Skull Crushing Finale and took a big move from Jeff from on top of the barricades. Jeff hit The Mizz with a low dropkick but failed to capitalize. Jeff hit The Miz with a Twist of Fate but Miz rolled out in time to avoid the Swanton Bomb as we headed into another commercial break.

Jeff and The Miz traded punches as we returned to the show. The Miz went for a sleeper hold on Hardy and Hardy returned the favour with a Whisper in the Wind. Miz took a sliding kick from the apron and then a high flying move over the top rope. Jeff hardy landed a third Twist of Fate and followed up with a Swanton Bomb but The Miz reversed Jeff's pin attempt and got the pinfall for himself.

Result: The Miz def. Jeff Hardy and will be joining the Money in the Bank ladder match.

Backstage, we saw The Bar talking about Sheamus' loss to Xavier Woods. Cesaro implied that he might have done better and Sheamus was not happy. The two opened their gym backs to find them full of pancakes - clearly, The New Day had been busy.

Renee attempted to ask Nakamura about AJ Styles backstage, and he said he forgot English. We learned that Shinsuke has not yet been cleared for in-ring competition.

#2 Charlotte Flair vs Peyton Royce - Qualifying Match for the Women's Money in the Bank ladder match

Charlotte took the advantage early with two big suplexes and then launching Peyton Royce halfway across the ring. Billie Kay pulled Royce out of the ring to get her out of trouble as we headed for commercials. We returned to see Charlotte lying outside the ring and the action soon returned to the ring. Royce sent Charlotte head first into the turnbuckles and then held her in a submission using the ropes.

Royce bounced Charlotte's head on the mat before applying a headlock. Charlotte hit Royce with repeated chops and dropped Royce with another suplex. Charlotte went for the figure four but Kay pulled Royce out of trouble. Charlotte leapt over the ropes and took out Kay and then hit Royce with a neck breaker. Royce was caught with a big boot and Charlotte hit the Moonsault but Royce had her knees up.

Charlotte caught Royce with a spear but didn't get the three count. Flair locked in the figure four and Royce tapped out almost immediately.

Result: Charlotte Flair def. Peyton Royce and will be taking part in the Women's Money in the Bank ladder match

Backstage, we heard from Daniel Bryan that Big Cass attacked him a second time from behind because Bryan made him tap out. He said, "the bigger they are, the faster they tap".

Cesaro mocked Woods but was hit with a hurracanrana. Ceasro replied with a huge suplex as we headed into another commercial break. During the commercials, Cesaro left Woods hanging on the ropes and Sheamus took a selfie with Woods like that. We returned to find Woods in a submission but Xavier got out of it and followed up with a few knees to the head.

Woods reversed Cesaro's facebuster with one of his own and Sheamus interfered the following move. Big E started throwing pancakes at the ring and Kofi took out Sheamus on the outside. Woods went for a high flying maneuver but Cesaro caught him with a huge uppercut and got the pinfall in his favour. Woods was visibly bleeding from the mouth as the match ended.

Result: Cesaro def. Xavier Woods

Backstage Renee asked AJ Styles about his match at Backlash and the future of his rivalry with Nakamura and AJ said he will not back down from a fight at any cost.

#4 Becky Lynch vs. Mandy Rose

Becky hit Mandy with a big move sending her out of the ring. Mandy returned and attacked Becky with a few kicks before holding Becky in a headlock. The two women traded punches and Mandy took an exploder. Rose went for an early pin and got the three count.

#5 Daniel Bryan vs Rusev - Qualifying Match for Money in the Bank ladder match

Rusev hit Bryan with a tackle but Daniel Bryan caught him in a big move. Daniel Bryan went for a suicide dive on Rusev but Rusev caught him and threw him over the announce tables as we headed into commercials. Bryan seemed to be in trouble when we returned to the action but caught Rusev with a running forearm. Daniel hit Rusev with two big kicks to the face and set him up on the top rope for a big drop.

Bryan delivered the Yes kicks but Rusev dodged them after a couple. Bryan locked in the Yes lock but Rusev caught the bottom rope. The two traded kicks but Bryan reversed a big suplex and delivered a kick to the face of Rusev. Bryan's finisher was cut short as Aiden English pulled Rusev out of the ring but Daniel wiped both of them out. Bryan hit Rusev with a dropkick from the top rope but Rusev replied with Machka kick and got the pinfall he needed to go to Money in the Bank. The crowd chanted Daniel Bryan's name as the show came to a close.

Result: Rusev def. Daniel Bryan and moved on to the Money in the Bank ladder match
