Back on SmackDown after a break, Rey set up a chair on Reigns' spine and hit a baseball slide. Rey wrapped the chair around Reigns' neck and sent him into the cage wall before Roman fought back with a headbutt.

Mysterio sidestepped and Reigns ran straight through a table that was set up on the outside. Reigns blocked a Sunset Flip Powerbomb before sending Rey into the cage wall a few times.

Reigns hit a Superman punch as the match continued on SmackDown and went for a spear but Rey blocked it. Mysterio managed to set up for the 619 but Roman countered it.

Rey sidestepped a spear in the corner and hit a 619 before brutalizing him with a chair. Rey set Reigns up with a chair on top of him and hit a splash, hurting himself in the process.

Rey went for another splash but Reigns kicked out. Reigns powerbombed Rey out of the ring and into the cage wall before locking him in a new submission finisher, making Mysterio tap out.

Result: Roman Reigns def. Rey Mysterio to retain the Universal Title

After the match Jimmy Uso came out and finally acknowledged Reigns as the Tribal Chief by celebrating with him and Paul Heyman.

Rey managed to get up after the match and Reigns locked him in the finisher yet again, taking out the WWE Legend for good.

Grade: A

Episode grade: B

We got an action-packed SmackDown before Hell in a Cell with Rey Mysterio challenging Reigns to a steel cage match and Shinsuke picking up a big win to win the crown from Corbin.
