#3. Neither Randy Orton nor Drew McIntyre used their finishers at SummerSlam

It's interesting to note that the "You'll never see it coming" tagline for SummerSlam was originally linked to the fact that both Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton have finishers that are often performed "out of nowhere."

Since SummerSlam has taken place many fans believe that it was aimed towards the return of Roman Reigns. But it's still worth noting that those two finishers — Orton's RKO and McIntyre's Claymore — were not used as part of the show.

Neither Orton nor McIntyre were able to land their famous finishers and McIntyre instead was able to retain the WWE Championship after he missed The Claymore and instead locked Orton into a backslide for the pin.

It's unknown why this was done but it was something a little bit different as both men have reached the point in their careers where much of their movesets are predictable.

Could this have been to set up a rematch or could this have been by design because the company wanted to change things up a little bit and see how the match went over with the fans?
