WWE Super ShowDown: 5 Finishes for Triple H vs. Randy Orton: NXT Call-Up, Surprise run-in

The Triple H vs. Randy Orton match could be huge!
The Triple H vs. Randy Orton match could be huge!

The world is buzzing about the confrontation that Triple H had with Randy Orton on WWE RAW this week. Two of the most seasoned veterans in the business came face to face and traded verbal barbs with one another in a truly heated and yet kinda light-hearted segment that the fans loved.

So how cool will it be when the two men actually trade blows in the middle of the ring? In this article, I shall suggest 5 finishes that we could potentially see during this heated contest.

While neither man is really in his prime, rest assured that both of them can still go at the very highest level. And yet, because this is such a big stage and such an iconic clash, WWE could use much smoke and mirrors in the form of interferences to make the match feel even bigger.

And this presents a variety of interesting finishes we could potentially see.

#5 Matt Riddle destroys Randy Orton

Triple H has been very vocal about how big a fan he is of Matt Riddle. Riddle is one of the most prominently featured performers in NXT right now and I'm sure Triple H sees him as someone who could potentially be the face of WWE too.

What better way to debut him than in front of a live audience in Saudi Arabia, as his cornerman, in the match with Randy Orton? Riddle could interfere during the match and destroy Randy Orton, effectively making him the winner of the contest, but in doing so, he could set himself up for a program against The Viper.

Don't believe that Triple H is the man behind NXT and so this alliance actually makes much sense. Let's hope that Riddle, if he debuts, becomes a big deal in the main roster.

#4 Vince McMahon helps Triple H win the match

One must not forget that even though she is clad in a business suit on most days, Stephanie McMahon is still a McMahon. And therefore, if the role calls for it, she would not mind yet another stint in the ring. Randy Orton took a few cheap shots at Stephanie McMahon's purse and what it contains during the promo he cut on RAW.

Vince McMahon could always return and end up costing Randy Orton the big match for the shots taken at his daughter. Bear in mind that Triple H only puts over younger talent from NXT on the big stage. Sting and even Batista can attest to this based on their matches at WrestleMania.

Having Vince McMahon run in and cost Randy Orton the match would make him a babyface. Stephanie McMahon can join the action in the United States where women's involvement in sports isn't frowned upon.

#3 Batista shows out of nowhere to take both men out at once

Sure, Batista claims that he has retired from sports entertainment but so did Shawn Michaels. Maybe the plan is for a triple threat Evolution match to take place at WrestleMania.

Or maybe even at the next pay-per-view event that will take place in Saudi Arabia! The fact of the matter is that it'll be great to see Batista return so that this feud can potentially continue for a very long time.

Such a run-in will be a thrill for the audience in Saudi Arabia because Batista is also an A-List movie star, not to mention someone that is a globally recognized household name as well. Plus this could serve as the building block to what could be a much bigger match in due course of time.

Ric Flair would have been the ideal man to round up this match, but he's in no shape to compete.

#2 Randy Orton wins the match clean

There is always the chance that Randy Orton wins this match clean. Some may even feel like he's the favorite heading into this really big match. Triple H and Randy Orton are good friends and I don't think Triple H will mind Randy Orton going over this time.

Orton may be one of the biggest and most decorated stars in the WWE locker room but there just hasn't been enough of a role for him over the past few months. In fact, ever since the AJ Styles-Randy Orton match concluded, it almost seems like there's been nothing for The Viper until now.

Maybe a victory over Triple H could launch him back into the conversation, perhaps into a feud with Finn Balor. Another way this match could end is for Triple H to get himself disqualified by using the sledgehammer, thus protecting both men.

#1 Triple H wins clean

Yes, Triple H will certainly put Superstars like Roman Reigns or Seth Rollins over, but when it comes to seasoned veterans, he will want to accrue a few wins so that he doesn't seem like a non-threat during his matches. Therefore, I think it's all too possible that he goes over against Randy Orton.

It is likely to be a kick out fest, where Randy Orton kicks out of two pedigrees and Triple H kicks out of multiple RKOs. But then when it goes down to the wire, a pedigree will get the job done and the familiar Motorhead tune will start playing.

Of course, I'm curious to hear your thoughts on this match and how you think this will potentially play out at WWE Super ShowDown. Don't be afraid to speculate because it is all fantasy booking right now, in any case.

Who do you think will win?
