WWE Superstar Shake-up 2019: 5 superstars who should move to SmackDown Live

The 2019 Superstar Shake-up has been confirmed by the WWE, as on the 15 and 16 of April, we will see superstars from all over the WWE move across Raw and SmackDown Live. This is an exciting time for WWE fans, as the endless amount of dream matches, highly demanded narratives, and the sight of seeing your favorite wrestlers interacting with one another is intriguing.

Last year's edition of the Superstar Shake-up saw WWE ship top talents to Raw, and we saw the likes of Jeff Hardy, Samoa Joe, Charlotte, and Andrade all become members of the blue brand. Will things be any different this year?

With rumors that WWE is planning to make SmackDown Live the A show due to their lucrative deal with FOX Sports, we could see Raw's top stars on their way to SmackDown Live. And while we might see stars like Ronda Rousey moved to SmackDown Live due to FOX wanting WWE to make SmackDown Live a more realistic show, who else could follow?

#1 Sasha Banks and Bayley

Banks and Bayley could be key players in women's wrestling going forward

The friendship of Sasha Banks and Bayley has been an interesting one, as WWE has portrayed these two NXT standouts as the best of friends and the worst of enemies. And while many will say that WWE ruined Banks and Bayley's narrative by hesitating to turn Banks or Bayley heel during their time on Raw, that is not the case.

In fact, WWE has done a great job in showing the WWE Universe the ups and downs of these two superstars' relationship, so when they possibly win the first ever women's tag team titles at the Elimination Chamber, it will be a pay off for their troubles.

Therefore, whether or not these two stars come out of the Elimination Chamber as the new champions or not, it doesn't really matter, as what they need right now is for WWE to get them in a new environment, and SmackDown Live is the perfect place to put them.

Banks and Bayley have accomplished it all on Raw, and by sending them to SmackDown Live, WWE can give them the fresh start they need.

#2 Finn Balor

This is a move that needs to happen
This is a move that needs to happen

Finn Balor - what else can be said about the man that has not been said already, he is a superb in-ring worker, decent on the mic, has a unique look, and is successful enough to be Wolrd Champion again. But due to the forces that have held this man back for over the last two years, Balor has been anything but extraordinary.

Balor needs to be given a chance to rebuild his career, as WWE putting him in big matches only for them to knock him down the very next day needs to stop, as Finn's credibility has taken so many hits it's hard to see him be anything more than a mid-carder on Raw. That is why a move to SmackDown Live must be implemented, as Finn is a superstar that could fit right into WWE's plans for SmackDown Live.

FOX wants SmackDown to be a show centered around the more combat side of wrestling - Balor can provide just that, as his style of wrestling is appealing enough to be called realistic.

More than anything, fans just want to see the Irishman succeed for once in his WWE career, and by placing him on SmackDown Live, he can rebuild himself with so many interesting narratives.

#3 Braun Strowman

Raw has seen enough of Braun Strowman
Raw has seen enough of Braun Strowman

This might be hard for you Braun Strowman fans to hear, but the fact of the matter is Strowman is no longer a top tier superstar in the company, as WWE took one of their greatest creations and turned him into a punching bag for bigger stars.

From Brock Lesnar to Roman Reigns, everyone has had a chance to destroy Strwowman's credibility, and it's not only that WWE has messed up by making Strowman lose so many World Championship bouts, but they have also booked him in a manner that has angered many WWE fans.

So how does WWE make their monster feel intimidating once again? Well, they could start by taking him off Raw, as a new home for Strowman will allow him to grow once again.

Also, by taking Strowman away from Raw, WWE can keep him away from being fed to their top stars. SmackDown Live might not be the ideal place at first, but if WWE allows him to repair himself and become the world beater he once was, we could witness something extraordinary.

#4 Kevin Owens

Kevin Owens is the most versatile superstar in WWE. Now I know that sounds like a silly statement to make, but KO has really been WWE's go-to guy for doing everything they need.

From putting over Braun Strowman in countless matches to being shuffled around in the mid-card, to making the likes of Bobby Lashley and Seth Rollins look like a million bucks, KO has given more than he should, as he makes everything the creative throws at him look great, but it's time for a change.

WWE needs to get KO back on the right track, and taking him off television for the last few months has done him a lot of favors, as his comeback will most likely be a huge turning point in his career.

Also, many reports indicate that KO will return around WrestleMania, and the Superstar Shake-up is basically the day after the huge event, so it should be the day KO makes his way back to SmackDown Live.

KO has been on SmackDown Live before, but his poor booking didn't give him any advantages to excel on the show, but this time should be different, and WWE needs to re-establish KO as the prizefighting badass.

#5 Brock Lesnar

Could Lesnar be on his way to SmackDown Live?
Could Lesnar be on his way to SmackDown Live?

WWE has made it clear that Seth Rollins is the future of the company, well, nothing should be set in stone so soon, as Rollins is currently facing an injury that will see him out for a month, and that is surprising, considering Rollins is in line for the biggest push of his career.

But it seems that this match between Lesnar and Rollins could go on as planned, as Rollins will most likely get healthy in time for his main event showdown.

But what will go down at WrestleMania?

No one really knows, as no one is certain if Rollins will be the man to finally take the Universal title from Brock Lesnar, as WWE has swerved us so many times with this title, it is hard to tell what will go down anymore.

But to be honest, it feels like Brock's time as Universal Champion is over, as it is clear that WWE only brought him back after Roman Reigns' departure to create a new top star at WrestleMania, and it could be Rollins.

So what happens to Lesnar if he loses the title?

Well, it seems due to WWE broadcasting SmackDown Live on FOX, Lesnar could be sent to the brand to increase ratings. And as I have mentioned so many times in this article, WWE is going to make SmackDown a more combat orientated show, so why not use the most popular star in combat sports?
