I mean, look at this guy. He is so full of heart, he is so selfless. It would be safe to admit that he cares more about Kofi Kingston than he does for himself. Heck, I will go as far as claiming that Kofi himself wasn’t as happy as Woods was for the WWE Title win.
The tears while going backstage with Kingston after his WrestleMania match, or the tears when they were being interviewed after Kingston’s win, it shows that he is the force that binds this group together.
#2 Merchandise
It is no secret that New Day is a merchandising behemoth for WWE. In fact, they are among the top merch sellers in the company. So it wasn’t surprising when WWE used Kofi Kingston’s WrestleMania moment to promote a new t-shirt of New Day with Kingston’s title on it.
The fact that New Day is still an active faction after almost five years since their inception is a testament to their power as merchandise sellers. So, breaking them up would cost WWE a lot in terms of sales.
