Most of us spent our childhood admiring and dreaming about the WWE superstars who used to woo us every time they stepped into the ring.

And like us, those WWE superstars also had a period when they used to be just like us, playing in the slides, running behind ice creams, experiencing their first love, bunking classes or just hanging on to their teddy bears.

The childhood and teenage are times that we won’t get back into our life anymore, though most of the wrestlers are at the peak of the mountain, looking back, most of them would be missing those old days. So here is a look at some of the WWE superstars just for a pleasant trip down memory lane.

Rey was one of those wrestler who had the luxury of a wrestling family. At the age of 14 itself Rey was trained buy his uncle Rey Mysterio Sr.

He had a lot of names like La Lagartija Verde and Colibrí but eventually took up his uncle’s name and started making a name for himself. After spending some time in Mexico, he was soon hijacked by Paul Heyman to add the lucha libre style to his original ECW.

Born with a silver spoon, Stephanie was no stranger to the wrestling world. as a youngster she would have the luxury of seeing legends like Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant up close and personal.

At the age of 13 she began to appear for the WWF for things like modeling and merchandising. Stephanie then started working permanently for the company after getting her degree in communications.

The hardcore legend was inspired by none other than Jimmy Snuka. Foley would hitchhike into the Madison square garden with his friend to see Snuka do his trade. And Foley used to say that its Snuka’s body splash from top of a cage that made him dream about being a professional wrestler.

Foley was part of high school lacrosse and wrestling team and was the classmate of comic actor Kevin James.

Before going on his hot streak at WCW, Goldberg used to be a star in college football. He won the scholarship for his skills and featured in the NFL also.

He later quit his NFL career after tearing his abdomen which led to a long lay-off. He returned to the sport after rehab but failed to reestablish himself as a great asset that he used to be and dropping out of NFL meant a new career in wrestling.

The Heart Break Kid was the youngest child in a family of four children. Shawn was raised in a military family and had to move every now and then because of that. He wanted to be a professional wrestler from the age of 12 but was involved in football from 6.

He went on to captain his school football team and after graduation Shawn was taken into the WWF.

One of the hottest superstars in the current roster, Punk used to wrestle in a backyard wrestling federation with his friends and brother during his teenage. Punk later broke off with his brother after a dispute about the federation which actually took off despite none of the boy except Punk interested in making Wrestling as a career.

He then joined a wrestling school to pursuit his dreams and finally ended up as one of the most bankable stars in business at the moment.

For those of who is still not aware of the fact, Kane was not actually Undertaker’s brother; instead Taker had four other older brothers.

Taker used his height to good advantage as he got into the high school basketball team. later he replicated the feat in college to before joining World Class Championship Wrestling under the ring name Texas Red, which marked the start of his wrestling career.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was one of those children who had a great wrestling family to boast about. His father and grandfather were wrestlers while his mother was a promoter.

He was more than active in school sports as he found his way into the wrestling, track and field and football team. Rock then made a name for himself in the college football scene before taking the path of his family.

Cena was born as the second oldest of five brothers. Like most of the others in the list, Cena also featured in college football before making a name in the business.

He used to wear the number 54 on his jersey which was later adapted for his initial gimmick. Cena has a degree in physiology and also had a career in body building. And lastly he worked as a driver for a limousine company. Now imagine having Cena as your driver.
