Natalya is an independent woman, but at one point, she was also bullied as a kid. In an interview, she revealed that she had a very broken voice in the past and kids used to make fun of her about this.

“Even when I was a little kid, I always had this raspy voice. I remember being in elementary school and people would always make fun of my voice and just be like, ‘What’s wrong with your voice?’”

But now she knows how beautiful her voice is.

“It’s funny, nowadays I’ll be going through customs at an airport and people are like, ‘You’re Nattie! I recognize your voice. I love your voice!’ ” she says. “People all the time recognize my voice. I’m like, ‘I love my voice!’ “

In another interview, she revealed that some kids would make fun of her because of her dad’s wrestling persona.

She didn't speak a word to them but instead, listened to everything and faced the situation. She also revealed that she was afraid to go to school because of this incident.

The kids at school would see my dad on WWE programming and it would bring out the worst in them. They couldn’t separate his television character from real life, and would say mean things about him to me on the school bus. At times, it was hard for me to explain to them that what my father did was entertainment. Instead I said nothing, internalized everything and went home feeling sad about the situation. I didn’t know what to do and dreaded going to school because of it…

Natalya has also admitted that she is still being bullied by wrestling fans on social media, but now she can block them and avoid the bullying.
