Drew McIntyre is always looming around the main event and could capture a title later in the year

Drew McIntyre was one of the huge favorites to walk out as 'Mr. Money in the Bank.' But due to WWE's willingness to cater to Brock Lesnar, he and the rest of the battle-scarred field missed out on an accolade that any of the competitors would have earned.

He's always stated that his goal was to become Universal Champion, and that needs to happen this year. Lesnar will hopefully fail in his cash-in, otherwise it will continue the cycle of low ratings for Raw and possibly SmackDown.

McIntyre and Rollins have battled each other several times over the last year and a half and he is one of the few men who is believable as Universal Champion. Once again, Lesnar could completely muck up the whole situation, but WWE's end game could be having McIntyre retire Lesnar and win the title at WrestleMania 36.

While that would be a star-making moment for 'the Scottish Psychopath', do you really want to sit through another Lesnar title reign, regardless of the brand? McIntyre is a star and needs a run with the Universal Title to help sell that. It should happen this year.
